Eagle Lake is located in the township of Machar.
According to the 2011 census, the township is home to 923 permanent residents, but this number grows significantly during the warmer months of the year as annual cottagers and campers flock to enjoy all that Eagle Lake has to offer.

“The Little White Church”Located beside beautiful Eagle Lake at 1175 Scarlett Road. St. John’s Anglican Church is the only remaining pioneer church in Machar Township. It was built by local families in 1888.

To the east of Eagle Lake and the township of Machar lies the village of South River.
The village is home to 1,049 permanent residents, according to the 2011 census. Machar and South River partner on many initiatives to maximize community investment, including a community center, the public library and medical center.
