Current Edition of Eagle Eye

2022 – November

Here is some additional information and updates to the November 2022 Newsletter:

Membership

Hello members of ELCA. We would like to introduce ourselves as the new keepers of the membership list for the Eagle Lake Conservation Association. It is our intention to keep working at updating the membership list to keep it current. To that end, please feel free to contact either one of us at any time.  We have some new ideas on how to reach out to our members with the hope of increasing our numbers. We are starting with sending more emails so please help us by making sure your information is up to date. We also had a table at the South River Outdoor show in May of this year where we connected with and talked to a lot of people, signed up some new people and renewed expired memberships. We are encouraged by the uptick in membership this year following two drought years of Covid with no AGM. We have increased the numbers significantly, including many new members, so if you have not already been told…welcome back and welcome to all newcomers.

If you have a neighbour who is new to the lake and has expressed an interest in our association, please feel free to share our contact information. We love to talk to fellow Eagle Lakers and let them know about all of the benefits of belonging to this great organization. We have incurred a major expense this year as we had to buy additional marker buoys and new anchors. As a result, we are increasing our membership fee as of January 1, 2023 to $30 per year or $125 for 5 years. However, if you renew or sign up before December 31, you get to join for the old price of $25 per year or $100 for 5 years…what a bargain!

For the last several years Fay Boyd has been doing it all…membership and banking. Now that we are on board we hope to lighten the load for Fay. She will continue to handle the banking, year end and statements and we will handle the membership. We would like to thank Fay for taking on this task for so many years. …..it is a huge job! ……so, thank you Fay!
